Reason behind Kylie Jenner’s ‘bridal’ behavior at Jeff Bezos wedding exposed after dress backlash

Kylie Jenner’s controversial look at Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos’ wedding could be bridal “long-distance hints” to beau Timothée Chalamet.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder attended the nuptials of Lauren and Jeff in Venice on Friday, June 27. She went with mother Kris Jenner, Kris’ boyfriend Corey Gamble, and sisters Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner. Her actor boyfriend Timothée did not attend the festivities with her.

Many celebrities and high-profile individuals were spotted getting on water taxis to head to the venue on one of the islands in Venice, San Giorgio Maggiore. Kylie was among them and she was seen wearing a floor length silver dress that consisted of a corseted bodice with lacing details that went from top to bottom. There was also little black bows embellished on the skinny straps of her dress. The gown was custom-designed by Turkish-British designer Dilara Findikoglu.

Body language expert Judi James said that Kylie’s look, which has garnered backlash, could be sending bridal hints to the Dune star. The couple has reportedly been dating for two years since they were romantically linked in 2023.

“Kylie’s often-absent plus-one Timothée seemed to be getting some long-distance hints from Kylie here as she adopted something of the behaviour of a bride herself, even being criticised for wearing her long, corseted dress that looked almost white in certain lights,” she told The Mirror US.

“Kylie also used the broken wing gesture to look delicate and special and it seemed to take an entire team to help assist or lift her into the water taxi. Kylie’s very central and rather demure presence did make her look rather bridal on the big day, which could have been a projected hint to her Hollywood boyfriend to think about getting down on one knee at last,” Judi added.

Kylie caused some heated discourse on social media as fans criticized her for wearing a color that looked white and that many assumed was white.

Traditionally, white is the color reserved for brides on their wedding day so within that tradition, it goes against wedding etiquette for any guests to wear that color.

A rep from the designers brand told Page Six the color of Kylie’s dress was “icy blue.”

One person wrote on Reddit: “I don’t get how she’s not embarrassed because no other woman is wearing white or anything close to it from what I’ve seen.”

Another said on X formerly Twitter: “I see a color that is a little too close to competing with the ‘bride’”
