Kim Kardashian is remembering one of her closest childhood friends eight months after her death.

In a touching tribute post on Saturday, July 5, the 44-year-old reality star honored a core member of her friend group, which she often refers to as the “Lifers”: Lindsay May Palevsky.

“It was just your birthday and I know you never liked to make a big deal of it, but Happy Heavenly Birthday, Lindz 💜🦋” Kardashian captioned a series of photos with her late friend.

She continued, “I waited months to post this, mostly because I couldn’t find the right words.”

The mother of four went on to specifically mourn the absence of Palevsky, who died on Nov. 2, 2024, from a rare form of cancer.

“Nothing really captures how quiet and empty our lifers chat feels without you in it,” Kardashian wrote. “I know you’d probably roll your eyes at me posting anything — especially since you didn’t really even have social media — but I couldn’t go through this lake trip without feeling you everywhere, and I needed to share it.”

The annual friend trip to the lake often fell on Palevsky’s birthday, and Kardashian shared a series of throwback photos and videos of her friend blowing the candles on her cakes.

“The lake was your happy place. It made you feel lighter, healthier … you were you,” the SKIMS mogul wrote. “It’ll always be our favorite lifers tradition because it’s where we spend time with all of our kids being together and get real time with each other without any outside noise. We felt your absence this year in every sunset, every laugh, every quiet moment.”

Kardashian noted that several of the images in her post were taken a year ago at the lake, writing, “I feel so grateful for all the memories we made. We miss you so f—ing much, Lindz. Our world is not the same without you. I guess that’s why I hold onto this lake tradition so tightly. We’ll always have the lake — and in that, we’ll always have a piece of you.”

Another member of the group, Simone Harouche, posted about the group’s lake trip this year.

“Even though you never liked celebrating your birthday, we still got together this year,” Harouche wrote on Instagram. “Kim got a purple Hansens cake for you, and your name was spelled wrong and we all laughed because we knew you’d be laughing about it too. (G-d how I miss hearing you laugh).”

She continued, “All the kids were together too, and I know that would’ve made you so happy to see that, Lindz, they are all getting so big!!”

Palevsky appeared several times on The Kardashians as a part of Kardashian’s “Lifers” group. Palevsky was in attendance at Kardashian’s 2023 birthday dinner, posing for photos and appearing on camera.

Citizens of Humanity created a pair of jeans in Palevsky’s memory called “The Lindz,” noting in the description that Palevsky died on Nov. 2, 2024, after having cancer for 13 years.

A portion of the proceeds went to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation.
